Domaines Barons de Rothschild (of Lafite-Rothschild fame) recently bought the property and subsequently the quality of the wines has begun to soar. Robert Parker even anticipates Chateau L`Evagile will become `one of the two or three finest wines of the appellation`. `Plenty of plum and spice with hints of licorice.
